Plot of launch 12 data

Flight #12 was conducted at the Reaction Research Society Mojave Test Area launch site. The launch was documented by a pad-side Go Pro camera.

The payload bay carried a Charlie Brown figurine that has flown on every flight and a Stratologger CF dual deployment flight computer which performed as expected and without issues. Additionaly, a LoRa GPS tracking board was included in the payload bay in an attempt to develop a cheap, simple GPS tracking solution. The board pairs with the Meshtastic mobile phone app, with one board in the rocket and the other near the phone on the ground.

The flight was a success, and there was no damage to the rocket or payload. However, the LoRa trackers did not perform as well as was hoped. The speed of information packets sent from the rocket was quite slow, which many have been due to settings choices in the Meshtastic mobile application. Reducing the range (purported to be up to 10 miles) would have increased the frequency of location updates, which may have been better for rocket tracking. Hopefully, more testing can be completed in the future to determine a solution.
